Treatment Options for Neck & Upper Limb Pain
Dr. Hamed begins diagnosis with a thorough physical examination to assess mobility, range of motion, and areas of discomfort. Your medical history and current symptoms also help guide the process.
When needed, additional tests may be ordered to confirm the source of pain, such as X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, and Electromyography (EMG) and Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) to evaluate nerve health and function.
In many cases, simple measures such as improving posture, avoiding prolonged strain, and using heat or cold therapy can reduce pain. Over-the-counter pain relievers and anti-inflammatory medications may also provide short-term relief.
For persistent or more severe cases, Dr. Hamed offers a full range of advanced treatment options, including:
-
Physical therapy
-
Prescription medications
-
Trigger point injections
-
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy
-
Epidural steroid injections
-
